The Double Wedging Table is built to accommodate higher clay volumes and larger workspace demands, making it an ideal solution for studios that require both efficiency and longevity. Constructed from heavy-duty solid hardwood, this table remains completely stable under pressure, allowing potters to work confidently without movement or shifting.
The 80mm-deep top is recessed and ready for a plaster block (sold separately), providing an ideal wedging surface once installed. Designed to absorb excess moisture and help condition clay effectively, the plaster block – when added – works in tandem with the dual ventilation system to promote airflow and reduce downtime between sessions. The block can be replaced easily when required, ensuring continued performance over time.
For improved workflow, the adjustable cutting wire allows for precise clay portioning, making it easier to work efficiently. The extended high-level shelf offers increased storage capacity and can be changed from the left side to the right side, making the table more flexible in its placement within a studio. This ensures that tools, scales, and clay lumps are readily accessible without cluttering the workspace. The lower shelf provides additional storage, keeping essential materials neatly organised.
When covered, the plaster area becomes a functional workbench, offering additional flexibility in the studio. Whether in a professional studio or a high-volume production setting, the Double Wedging Table delivers uncompromising durability, stability, and workspace efficiency.
The Lid is crafted from natural hardwood and is supplied as a raw material component for studio use. Because hardwood is an organic material, it naturally responds to environmental conditions. Changes in humidity, temperature, and studio climate may cause slight movement in the wood over time, including minor cupping or warping. These variations are normal and not considered defects. If any warping occurs, the lid can typically be returned to a flat position by placing it on a level surface and applying even weight until it settles.
Proper care and reasonable environmental stability will help maintain the lid’s shape and performance.
Plaster blocks not included – available separately.
